JOHNS CREEK, Ga. (AP) — Authorities have arrested two suspects who they say forced their way in a home in an affluent Atlanta suburb and attacked two women.
Media outlets report police say 28-year-old Kenneth Hayes and 23-year-old Andraus Betts, both armed, entered the Johns Creek home Monday afternoon, demanding jewelry and money from a woman who lived there and her housekeeper.
Johns Creek Police say the suspects searched the home for over 40 minutes, and at some point, Capt. Chris Byers says the men struck both women in the heads with their guns.
Investigators say the suspects fled the scene in two of the family's cars, ditching one of the vehicles down the street from the home.
Hours later, the suspects were found inside the second car and taken into custody. Their names and charges haven't been released.
