UPDATE: Dylann Roof, 21, has been arrested in Shelby, North Carolina.

The FBI confirms the identification of the Charleston shooting suspect as Dylann Roof, 21, from the Columbia, South Carolina area.

The Post and Courier reports that Roof has been arrested twice in South Carolina as an adult, according to the State Law Enforcement Division. He was jailed March 1 in Lexington County on a drug charge and again on April 26 on a trespassing charge.
